WhatsApp users will soon get rid of this problem and will be able to use their same account on different phones.
WhatsApp’s parent company Meta has announced that users of the instant messaging app will be able to use their central accounts across all phones.
To use their WhatsApp account on another phone users have to install a new application, instead of logging in properly the user has to click on the new ‘Link to Existing Account’ option. Doing so will display a QR code which the phone will scan under the ‘Device Connection’ option in the account. This new feature will work on iOS and Android devices.
This feature introduced by WhatsApp will be useful for all those people who use more than one smartphone daily and want all their phones to be linked to one WhatsApp account.
The phone logged in with the WhatsApp account will actually be called the ‘primary’ device and won’t need to be activated to access messages from other phones, Android tablets or computers. However, WhatsApp says that other devices will be removed if the primary device remains inactive for 14 days.
