Washington: (Shadesofgalaxy) Republicans in the US House of Representatives have removed Democrat Congressman Ilhan Omar from the key parliamentary committee on foreign affairs.
According to foreign media reports, the majority of the Republican Party removed Ilhan Omar through a bill from the Central Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, with 218 votes in favor and 211 against the resolution to remove Ilhan.
Speaking before being expelled from the parliamentary committee, Ilhan Umar said that my leadership and voice cannot be suppressed, even though I am not a part of this parliamentary committee, my voice is the strongest and loudest.
Republican members cited Ilhan Omar’s 2019 remarks about Jews and anti-Semitism, saying he was removed from a key parliamentary committee because of his remarks.
These statements have been called anti-Semitic by both Democrats and Republicans. Instead, he does it for the money.
It should be noted that this statement of Ilhan Umar is old, for which he apologized, later he also deleted that tweet.
It should be noted that Ilhan Omar is the only African-born member of Congress and the only Muslim woman member of the US House.
