It should be noted that millions of videos are uploaded daily on TikTok which checks their content against community guidelines.
The company said in a report that it will take action between October and December 2022 on videos that violate its community guidelines.
According to the report, TikTok removed more than 85.6 million 80K videos worldwide between October and December 2022 for violating community guidelines.
This number equates to 0.6 percent of the total videos posted on TikTok during that period.
Over 12.6 million 28 thousand videos were removed in Pakistan during this period.
Along with removing content that violates community guidelines, accounts deemed spam and videos posted by them are also being removed, the company said.
During the October to December 2022 quarter in Pakistan, 89.7 percent of videos were removed before users could watch them.
During that time, more than 178,770,000 accounts, whose creators were under the age of 13, were removed from platforms worldwide.
According to the company, more than 54.4 million videos linked to fake accounts were also removed.
TikTok says the social media platform’s policies apply equally to everyone and all types of content are scrutinized.
