Doha: In Qatar, the government has announced a 9-day holiday on Eid-ul-Fitr, but due to the inclusion of weekly holidays, the people got 11 consecutive days of holidays.
According to Arab media, Eid holidays were announced in Qatar from Wednesday, April 19 to Thursday, April 27, while the country has weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday, so offices will open 11 days later on Sunday.
A 5-day holiday has been announced on Eid in Oman and the UAE, while a 4-day holiday has been announced in Saudi Arabia. Pakistan will also have 5-day holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr.
It is expected that Eid al-Fitr will be held on Saturday in Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia appealed to the people to see the moon on Thursday and asked them to go to the nearest offices and tell them about the sighting of the moon.
