The safe evacuation of Pakistanis from war-torn Sudan has been completed. According to the spokesman of the Foreign Office, 1,000 Pakistanis have been evacuated from Sudan.

The spokesperson of the Foreign Office added that the withdrawal was possible due to the grace of Allah and the efforts of our embassy in Khartoum. Our teams in Jeddah and Islamabad along with Saudi Arabia and China had full cooperation in this evacuation and the evacuation process will continue through Jeddah until the last Pakistani returns safely.
Sources said that 636 citizens have landed at Karachi Airport so far and were brought back home through five special flights of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) via Jeddah.
Another Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight brought 93 more nationals to Islamabad, taking the total number of repatriated Pakistanis to 729.
Sources added that unlike other countries, the government made an evacuation policy to repatriate civilians first and then diplomats.
