According to Election Commission sources, there will be no correspondence with the Ministry of Finance and the Punjab Government regarding the elections.
The Election Commission sources had taken a position that in the light of the detailed decision of the Supreme Court regarding the election, the Election Commission has done its work, now if other institutions do not follow the order of the Supreme Court, then this Court will belong to the Supreme Court and them. Sources in the Election Commission say that since the Supreme Court decision had clear instructions for the Finance Minister, Chief Secretary and IG Punjab, the Commission will not correspond with them.
In the judgment, the Supreme Court directed the Finance Ministry to distribute the funds directly. Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary and IG Punjab have been directed to submit the self-management and security plan to the commission by April 17.
