ISLAMABAD: ECC has approved the reopening of the Roosevelt Hotel in New York and using the available funds of $1.145 million to run the hotel.
According to Express News, a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, in which the committee approved various recommendations.
The ECC approved the recommendations of the Ministry of Aviation to reopen the Roosevelt Hotel New York. The ECC also authorized $1.145 million in available funds to be used to reopen the Roosevelt Hotel.
ECC was told in the briefing that 1,25 rooms of the Roosevelt Hotel New York will be rented out at the rate of $200 per room per day.
The ECC has approved a one-time hike in drug prices to pharmaceutical companies in the wake of the devaluation of the rupee.
In the meeting, the ECC also approved the provision of technical supplementary grant of Rs 45 crore to the Ministry of Home Affairs and targets for procurement of wheat.
