Islamabad (Shadesofgalaxy latest newspaper. 02 February 2023) Islamabad Police issued a statement regarding the arrest of former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, “No child present, no broken or broken glass.” Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed abused the policemen and used foul language.
There was no mistreatment of Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed or any employee in the house. Islamabad Capital Police strongly condemns negative propaganda. Discipline in accordance with the law should be demonstrated inside and outside the courts. He was not injured but the police showed patience despite his abuse and inappropriate behaviour.
Misrepresentation should be avoided. Islamabad Capital Police observes and complies with all legal requirements. Saying more about the circumstances under which Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was arrested will affect the investigation. It should be clear that the former interior minister Sheikh Rashid was arrested by the Islamabad police on Thursday morning. Pakistan Peoples Party leader Raja Inayat Khan filed a petition in which Sheikh Rasheed accused former President Asif Ali Zardari of conspiracy.
While giving an interview to a private TV channel, he accused Asif Zardari of plotting to kill Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Raja Inayat Khan says that the life of the former president and his family is in danger due to this allegation. He had said in his complaint that Sheikh Rasheed wants to fight between PPP and PTI by referring to this fabricated and baseless conspiracy to disturb the peace of the country. A copy of the FIR filed by Raja Inayatur Rahman against Sheikh Rasheed is also circulating on social media.
