According to Al-Arabiya News, the muezzin of the mosque was killed in a shocking incident in Al Wardiya area of Alexandria, Egypt. The deceased was also the muezzin of the mosque and the killer’s father had asked him for permission to call the adhan.
The murderer’s family had a criminal record, so the muezzin told the murderer’s father that you people are not worthy of giving the adhan, on which the son became enraged and killed the muezzin at the door of the mosque.
The police arrested the brutal accused who confessed to the murder and said that my father wanted to call for Isha on the second day of fasting, but the muezzin forbade it, after which my father did not even go to the mosque.
The killer further said in the confessional statement that today again I went to the muezzin along with my brother and expressed my father’s wish, on which the muezzin repeated and I stabbed him.
