SAN FRANCISCO: In light of Telegram’s notable features, WhatsApp is now following suit by developing a message editing feature, positioning itself closer to overtaking its competitor.
WhatsApp has been demonstrating rapid advancements in its application and is currently working on introducing the ability to rectify word choice and message errors. This functionality will be made possible through the integration of an edit button.
The prevalence of incorrect word usage and spelling mistakes while composing messages in English may now find a resolution. As per WABTA Info, WhatsApp’s news application, the forthcoming beta version will include an edit option, empowering users to amend and rectify errors within their messages.
To edit a message, users need to press and hold the desired message, select it, and subsequently tap the vertical lines located at the top. This action will prompt the appearance of an edit button, allowing users to rectify the message and eliminate any errors. This editing feature remains available for a period of 15 minutes following message transmission, with subsequent messages reflecting the edited version.
Importantly, users can utilize the editing feature to modify the message multiple times. Notably, these functionalities are visible in version 2.23.10.13 of WhatsApp beta
