Islamabad: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) parties have submitted a sit-in request at D Chowk Islamabad.
In the application submitted to the Deputy Commissioner, it has been said that the meeting will be held at D Chowk, Islamabad at 10 am, so the sit-in should be allowed.
The petition has also said that security and traffic arrangements should be made regarding the sit-in.
It should be noted that Jamiat Ulema Islam and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has directed the entire nation to participate in a peaceful protest outside the Supreme Court on Monday.
Muslim League-N and People’s Party have also announced to participate, however Awami National Party (ANP) will not participate in the protest.
On the other hand, Section 144 is also in force in Islamabad while the army is already deployed for security of important installations and buildings.
According to the sources of the district administration, the protest cannot be allowed due to the implementation of Section 144.
