    Saudi Arabia ready to plant flags in space: The journey of Saudi astronauts will begin today

    Riyadh: Two Saudi Arabian astronauts are set to embark on a momentous space voyage today, marking a significant milestone for Saudi Arabia in the field of space exploration.

    As reported by Urdu News, the Saudi Space Authority is in the final stages of preparing the astronauts for their space travel, with their departure scheduled for Sunday, May 21. They will be transported to the esteemed International Space Station (ISS) to commence their cosmic expedition.

    Among the distinguished individuals who have ventured to the International Space Station in the past are Saudi Arabia’s first female astronauts, Riyana Barnawi and Ali Qarni. Both accomplished spacefarers will depart for the ISS on May 21, accompanied by a team of proficient experts, commencing their celestial odyssey.

    The Saudi Space Authority has indicated that the space travel program was initiated on September 22, 2022. The astronauts within the group will engage in various scientific experiments that leverage the unique microgravity environment of space.

    In their statement, the authority further elucidated that the two Saudi astronauts will commence their awe-inspiring space journey by means of the Falcon 9 rocket, an emblem of cutting-edge space technology.

    In a prior interaction with the media, Saudi astronauts Rayana Barnawi and Ali Al-Qarni expressed their exhilaration and profound pride in being part of this momentous space mission. They assured that they have diligently prepared themselves for this historic endeavor and are fully equipped to embrace the challenges and rewards of space exploration
