The Islamabad High Court suspended the March 22 decision of the Election Commission to hold a recount in 6 union councils of Karachi.
Naib Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi has challenged the recount order in six union councils.
Justice Sardar Ejaz-Ishaq Khan issued orders that the Election Commission’s decision of recount in 6 union councils of March 22 was challenged, five union councils of Karachi West and one of Karachi East are included, the court was told that the six union councils I have to recount today, if the counting is done today, the petition will be invalid.
The court issued a pre-admission notice to the Election Commission for March 29 and also called for arguments on the admissibility of the petition.
