Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced its support for Jamaat-e-Islami’s candidate for Mayor of Karachi.
The most important announcement regarding the election of the mayor of Shahr-i-Quaid has been made by Express News PTI Karachi. PTI Karachi has said that PTI will support the Jamaat-e-Islami candidate in the mayoral election.
In its statement, Tehreek-e-Insaf Karachi has said that the People’s Party, which ran away from the municipal elections four times, wants to elect a mayor in a hurry. Pre-poll is rigging the election process.
Tehreek-e-Insaaf says that local body representatives are being abducted before they are sworn in. People’s Party and MQM do not want the public mandate to be accepted.
Tehreek-e-Insaf has further said that the mayor should be elected through a transparent procedure, PTI has also approached the court on this issue.
In this regard, the president of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi and candidate for mayor of Karachi, Hafiz Naeem, has said that he wants the deputy mayor to be from Tehreek-e-Insaf, after which PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami will work together.
He said that our chairmen are being summoned to the police stations, their houses are being raided, they want the chairman to somehow support the People’s Party, our numbers are complete, I am thankful to PTI.
Hafiz Naeem said that the People’s Party will not be able to complete the numbers despite its efforts, Jamaat-e-Islami got the most votes in Karachi, the pressure that the People’s Party has put on, 9 towns belong to Jamaat-e-Islami and 3 PTI. have been, there are some cases that will be faced together, more may become mayor on the town.
He said that snatching should not be done by surprise, we don’t want fight with anyone, there is no heir of Karachi city, Karachi has become a ruin, its development is our priority.
