LAHORE: Tension continues between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and police and Rangers outside Taman Zaman in Lahore.
PTI and police face to face over the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Clashes broke out between PTI workers and the police again on Wednesday morning. Dozens of police and PTI workers were injured in the clashes.
The police opened fire on the protesters. 18 hours have passed since the police operation. Police from three districts participated in the operation. Rangers is also present on Mall Road.
Mobile and internet service has been suspended in Zaman Park and its surroundings. Educational institutions located in the vicinity of Mall Road are closed while emergency has been declared in hospitals.
Yesterday, the police launched an operation to arrest PTI Chairman Imran Khan, after which PTI workers staged nationwide protests.
