According to details, PIA female manager grooming Maimoona Feroze sexually harassed the flight attendant during the flight, against which the victim sent an email to the concerned department with 4 serious allegations against the female officer.
According to the sources, the alleged harassment of the air hostess by the female officer took place on the flight from Karachi to Toronto. A 3-member committee headed by DGM Security has been constituted to investigate the incident.
Sources further said that other members of the committee include the lady assistant manager, in-charge SEC Jinnah International, while the committee summoned Maimoona Feroze, involved in the alleged harassment, on March 27.
In the e-mail sent by the victim, it was stated that the officer named Maimoona Feroz subjected the air hostess named Afiq Shah to inappropriate words, insulting behavior and also said that the air hostess was sent to a training center as a punishment for disrupting the ACR.
According to the e-mail, the air hostess’s uniform and other matters were criticized in front of the passengers and co-hosts, while the female officer did not say anything about the alleged grooming violations of the sister of the air hostess during the flight.
Apart from this, the sources said that another air hostess has also submitted similar complaints against the female officer, after which the committee summoned the female officer’s sister who was involved in the alleged harassment along with the other affected air hostess.
The Civil Aviation Authority has also asked the involved female officer not to be appointed to any important post for 5 years. In this regard, PIA spokesperson said that a committee has been formed to investigate the matter which will submit a report on March 29.
