Islamabad: The High Court has ordered to provide security to former Prime Minister Imran Khan after reviewing the threats.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq heard the petition on the issue of withdrawal of security from Chairman PTI, issuing a written order, the court ordered that the Threat Assessment Committee assess the level of threats to Imran Khan. Provide security.
The court order said that the decisions regarding the security measures were appropriate but felt to be only limited to papers. The petitioner’s lawyer said that Imran Khan as a former prime minister should be provided with the security he is entitled to. Security is not given to Imran Khan when he comes to Islamabad. Imran Khan remained the prime minister until April 2022. According to the law, he is entitled to the security of the former prime minister.
The Islamabad High Court wrote in the order that according to the Additional Attorney General, Imran Khan was given foolproof security on the occasion of his appearance in the court. The Threat Assessment Committee makes security arrangements according to the threats.
The court said that while providing security to Imran Khan, it is important to keep in mind the recent deadly attack and the threat level. The court ordered that security should be provided to former Prime Minister Imran Khan after reviewing the threats.
