Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian says that he is ready to meet Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. Three locations are under consideration for the meeting.
It should be noted that diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran were severed for seven years, but as a result of China’s efforts, diplomatic relations between the two countries were restored on March 10.
Saudi Arabia severed diplomatic relations with Iran after protesters attacked Saudi diplomats in Iran following the execution of Shia cleric Nimr al-Nimraki.
However, after the restoration of relations, each other’s embassies are likely to become active in both countries.
