London: According to a new report, Microsoft’s new PhoneLink feature introduced in Windows 11 could lead to cyber attacks on iPhone users.
Android users have been using the PhoneLink feature for quite some time now to connect their Android phones to computers using Wi-Fi.
Last month, technology giant Microsoft released the iOS Phone Link feature for all Windows 11 users, using which users can use iMessage in 85 markets globally in 39 languages.
According to the report, potential cyberstalkers (those who harass people using the Internet) can use PhoneLink on anyone’s iPhone to access their data without warning.
Cyberstalkers can connect to a person’s Windows PC after setting up PhoneLink on a person’s iPhone and monitor their IM messages and phone calls without their knowledge.
No position has come out from Apple and Microsoft on the issue.
