ISLAMABAD / PESHAWAR: To resolve the ongoing political crisis in the country, an informal meeting was held between the leaders of the government and the opposition party (PTI) and it was decided that the restoration of the assemblies would pave the way for negotiations.
According to Express News, Federal Ministers Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Ayaz Sadiq arrived to condole the death of PTI leader Pervez Khattak’s wife, where an informal meeting was also held between the government and PTI leaders.
The government delegation also hugged PTI President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and agreed to find a solution to the crisis.
In the discussion of the leaders of both parties, it was decided that the restoration of the KP Assembly can also solve the crisis, while if both the assemblies are restored, the way to sit on the negotiation table can be paved. Both parties considered this proposal and emphasized on solving the problems by sitting at the negotiation table.
Khawaja Saad Rafiq said in a conversation with PTI leader Asad Qaiser that we are in contact with you, we have heard that PTI has changed the names of the negotiation committee.
On this occasion, Parvez Elahi said that after the expiry of the caretaker governments of Punjab and KP, petitions should be filed in the court, all parties should respect the Supreme Court.
