LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has claimed that PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s contempt petition against the Zaman Park police operation has been fixed for hearing.
He said that Lahore High Court Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh will hear the application on March 21. He said that the hearing of the case against the Lahore Police against the roundup will be held tomorrow.
It should be noted that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) requested to file a case against the ‘attack by policemen’ on Imran Khan’s residence in Zaman Park, in which the senior vice-president of the Muslim League (N) Maryam Nawaz and Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah were also nominated.
The application for the case was made to the caretaker of Imran Khan’s residence, Owais Ahmed, at the Racecourse police station.
Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and IG Punjab Usman Anwar, CCPO Lahore Siddique Kamiana, DIG Operations Afzal Kausar, SSP Operations Soheb Ashraf, Police Station CIA and SPs of Sadar are also named in the petition.
