Ben Stokes moved up the scoreboard with Harry Brooks at a slow pace but Harry left Stokes after scoring 20 off 23 balls. However, Ben Stokes stayed on the wicket till the end and played a vital role in making his team the world champion for the second time by scoring a half-century while Moeen Ali also played an innings of 19 runs off 13 balls.
On behalf of the national team, Haris Rauf took 2 wickets, Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Wasim took one wicket each.

Before the toss of the match, English captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to bat first. On behalf of the national team, the captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan started the innings, but Mohammad Rizwan lost his wicket in the power play, he got out after scoring 15 runs off 14 balls. Pakistan scored 39 runs for the loss of one wicket at the end of the power play after which Mohammad Haris came in to bat but he looked in trouble and finally gave up his wicket to Adil Rashid after scoring 8 runs off 12 balls. Babar Azam led the scoreboard along with Shan Masood, but after scoring 32 runs off 28 balls, he fell victim to Adil Rashid, after which Iftikhar Ahmed came in to bat, but he also disappointed the team. Failed to open and was dismissed by Ben Stokes.
Shaan Masood kept his wicket till the end but still he failed to play big innings and gave up after playing 38 runs off 28 balls. In the very next over, vice-captain Shadab Khan also lost his wicket for 20 runs. Muhammad Nawaz failed again and got out after scoring only 5 runs. After which Muhammad Wasim Jr also returned to the pavilion after scoring 4 runs.
For England, Sam Curran took 3, Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan 2, 2 while Ben Stokes took one wicket.It should be noted that 12 teams participated in the event for T20 World Cup 2022, which were divided into two groups.
Pakistan played their first match in Melbourne against arch-rivals India, which India won after an exciting contest.

England defeated Afghanistan in the first match, the second match against Australia was rained out and both teams were awarded one point each.
England beat New Zealand by 20 runs and Sri Lanka by 4 wickets in the group match, while England’s surprise defeat by DLS against Ireland in a rain-affected match surprised everyone.

The second semi-final was played between England and India, India batted first and set a target of 168 runs, which England achieved in 16 overs for the loss of no wickets and defeated India in a crushing defeat. It should be noted that the Melbourne Cricket Ground is important for Pakistan.
