RIYADH: Saudi Arabia will have Eid-ul-Fitr holidays from April 21 to 24 and in view of the possibility of Eid falling on Friday, this year there will be the privilege of hearing two sermons on the same day.
According to Arab media, 4 Eid al-Fitr holidays have been announced in Saudi Arabia, which will be from Friday, April 21 to Monday, April 24.
However, the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia announced the holidays and said that public dealings in banks will be closed from April 17 and banks will reopen from April 25.
Experts have expressed the possibility that Eid al-Fitr will be held on Friday, April 21 in Saudi Arabia. If this happens, one will have the privilege of hearing two sermons (Eid prayer and Friday prayer) in the same day.
According to a hadith, during the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), Friday and Eid al-Fitr were gathered in one day.
It should be remembered that Ramadan started in Saudi Arabia from March 23 and this year a record number of devotees of Shama Tawheed from all over the world have reached to attain the happiness of Umrah.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Committee for the Affairs of Masjid al-Haram and Masjid Nabawi have made special arrangements to provide all the facilities to the pilgrims coming in record numbers.
