Corona restrictions: China has suspended the issuance of visas to Japan and South Korea.

Beijing: (Shadesofgalaxy) China has suspended the issuance of short-term visas to South Korean and Japanese citizens in response to travel restrictions due to Corona.

According to foreign media reports, the Chinese and South Korean embassies said Korean and Japanese nationals were denied temporary visas and resumed issuing visas after the government lifted various immigration restrictions.

Not only in Japan and Korea, but also in other countries of the world, after the increase in corona cases, travel restrictions have been imposed on Chinese citizens.

Responding to China’s decision, South Korea’s foreign ministry spokesperson said that travel and passengers from China have been banned based on scientific principles due to the increase in the number of coronavirus cases.

Last week, South Korea refused to issue visas to tourists from China, which China described as “unscientific and impossible”.

As Chinese nationals travel to Japan after testing negative for the coronavirus, Beijing has approved new visa restrictions imposed by Tokyo and Seoul.

In the past, many countries have imposed a zero-covid policy on travel. Due to the spread of the Corona virus in China, many countries including the United States, the United Kingdom and India have made it mandatory for passengers coming from China to have a negative Corona test.

All borders are open after China eased Corona restrictions on January 8 after three years.

In recent weeks, China has changed its pandemic policy and lifted various restrictions.
