Lahore: Chairman PTI Imran Khan has written another letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan demanding a comprehensive investigation into the alleged murder conspiracy and other matters.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan sent the details in writing to the Chief Justice of Pakistan. They demanded a comprehensive investigation into the alleged conspiracy to kill him, acts of aggression and state terrorism. Imran Khan said in the letter that in view of more than 90 cases against me, I request to continue following the cases through video link.
Imran Khan said that the government is not serious about my security and always refuses to provide security. I was the target of a deadly assassination attempt in Wazirabad. After surviving an assassination attempt, my life was constantly threatened in the event of a court appearance.
The letter states that in the light of the events that took place during the court appearance on March 18, it is requested that the sensitivity and seriousness of my stand be understood. On the occasion of my presence in the court complex of Islamabad, all the roads were blocked with containers. Instead of improving court attendance, attempts were made to deliberately create situations of “absenteeism”.
In his letter to the Chief Justice, Imran Khan further said that police and Rangers used tear gas and batons on activists and leaders to incite people who came to show solidarity on the occasion of my appearance. What is worse is that the police stationed on the roof of the court complex pelted stones at the bathers.
Chairman PTI said that there are videos of police brutality and stone pelting. On the way to the court, the police brutalized the citizens I was walking with without any provocation. I realized on the way that I was not meant to be arrested but to be killed. My impression was reinforced by the fact that our lawyers were beaten up and thrown out but around 20 unidentified persons remained in the complex.
The letter added that the men were in uniform and did not show any identification. Of course they were put there to shed my blood, but Allah protected me. I was on my way to Islamabad when the police raided my residence in violation of the High Court order. At the time of the police raid, my wife was alone in the house with several domestic workers.
In his letter to the Chief Justice, Chairman PTI said that my wife was an apolitical woman who was completely under house arrest. Breaking down the main door of my residence and the police raiding my house in this way is also a violation of the Islamic principle of sanctity of veil and wall. Arrange a comprehensive investigation into these incidents in light of the threat to my life and the attack on my residence. Apart from the former Prime Minister and the leader of the largest party of the Federation of Pakistan, no one has been treated like this till date.
