Vienna, Austria: Experts have warned after a cautious estimate that annual global deaths from stroke (especially ischemic) could reach 5 million in the next seven years.
There are two types of stroke, in one type, the blood clot gets stuck in the narrow veins of the brain and can lead to paralysis or death, in the second, the blood vessels burst due to blood pressure or other causes, and the blood flow is also paralyzed. Or death occurs.
However, a stroke caused by a blood clot is called an ischemic stroke. According to a news published in the journal Neurology on May 17, 2013, by the 1990s, 2 million people were dying of stroke worldwide annually. Then by 2019, this rate reached 3 million deaths per year. Even now this graph is increasing rapidly and it is feared that by 2030 the death rate of this type of stroke will reach 5 million people.
The report said that this situation can be avoided. A simple and healthy diet, complete avoidance of smoking, exercise and running etc. can minimize the risk of stroke. Keeping blood pressure under control is essential to prevent other types of stroke.
Experts have said that people should minimize the use of salt, avoid sugary drinks, besides preventing diabetes, kidney health and reducing obesity can also reduce the risk of stroke.
