New York: (Shadesofgalaxy) Police in the American state of Virginia have arrested a 6-year-old boy who shot and injured a teacher.
According to a foreign news agency, a shooting incident occurred at Richnick Elementary School in Newport News on Friday, where a six-year-old boy shot and wounded his teacher. The police took the boy into custody.
Police say the shooting, which happened after an argument between two children in a first-grade classroom during which the boy took a gun, is still under investigation but was not an accident.
Police declined to name the weapon used in the incident but said the boy had used a gun.
The 30-year-old teacher, whose name has not been released, was instead taken to a local hospital where he is being treated.
