Sharjah: In the second match of the three-match T20 series, Pakistan’s batting line failed again, Pakistan set Afghanistan a target of 131 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
In the second T20 match at the Sharjah Cricket Ground, Pakistan cricket team captain Shadab Khan won the toss and decided to bat first.
Pakistan opener Saeem Ayub and Muhammad Haris came to bat but on the second ball of the first over, Saeem Ayub returned to the pavilion without opening his account, Abdullah Shafiq also got out without scoring any runs on the next ball.
On the total score of 20 runs in the third over, Mohammad Haris also continued to score 15 runs, Tayyab Tahir scored 13 runs and Azam Khan returned to the pavilion after scoring 1 run. Imad Wasim and captain Shadab Khan supported Pakistan’s batting line, Imad Wasim scored 64 runs. Banaker remained not out while Shadab Khan got out after scoring 32 runs in the last ball of the innings.
For Afghanistan, Fazalul Haq Farooqui took 2 wickets while Rashid Khan, Karim Jannat and Naveen ul Haq took one wicket each.
The national cricket team has included Faheem Ashraf in the final XI instead of Mohammad Nawaz for the second T20 match, while other players include captain Shadab Khan, Mohammad Haris, Abdullah Shafiq, Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Imad Wasim, Zaman Khan, Ehsanullah, Tayyab Tahir, Naseem Shah and Saeem Ayub are included.
Earlier, Afghanistan defeated Pakistan for the first time in the first T20 match. This was Afghanistan’s first victory against Pakistan in any international match.
It should be noted that the third and last match of the series will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on March 27.
